MEET THE SPEAKERS
Devika Shivadekar
Economist, RSM Australia 

Devika Shivadekar is the RSM Australia Economist.

In this role, she follows key macroeconomic indicators such as growth, inflation, central bank decisions and the labour market to assess the overall health of an economy. She has over eight years of macroeconomic research experience spanning both public and private sectors, including stints at the Reserve Bank of India and Bank of America. Devika holds a MSc Finance from University of St. Andrews, UK and BA Economics from University of Mumbai, India.

Michael Whitehead
Head of Food, Beverage and Agribusiness Insights, ANZ 

Michael analyses, writes and presents extensively on a wide range of FBA issues impacting all parts of the FBA supply chain.

Prior to ANZ, Michael has worked for Macquarie Agricultural Funds Management in New York, and Rabobank’s Food & Agribusiness Research Advisory team in North America, as well as with the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross in Switzerland. Michael has been featured widely in global media outlets, including CNBC, the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal. He has experience in agricultural production and consulting, particularly in Australia and China, as well as having worked in federal politics and as a radio and print journalist.Michael has a BA from La Trobe University, an MBA from the Melbourne Business School and the Rotterdam School of Management, and has completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Agribusiness Course.

Nitay-Yair Levi
Founder and Managing Director, Koenig Heritage 

Nitay-Yair is the founder of Koenig Heritage. He is the guardian of the company’s uncompromising value investing principles, conservative business fundamentals and defensive investment strategy.

Throughout his career he has strongly advocated for risk aversion which is reflected in his attitude towards leveraged buyouts and short term thinking among others. He is the developer of Koenig Heritage’s non-discretionary “home, health and food” investment strategy and principles. Nitay-Yair has extensive experience in private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions and Board roles. Prior to Koenig Heritage, He was the founder of a funds management firm and co-founder of a private equity investment firm. In those roles he acquired and managed 11 businesses before exiting to found Koenig Heritage.
