Michael Sharpe is the National Director for Industry at the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre. AMGC is an initiative of the Australian Government. Its goal is to drive innovation, productivity and competitiveness across Australia. AMGC is run by a team of industry experts. It is connected with a nationwide network of manufacturers, universities, and export hubs. Michael has vast industrial experience including nearly three decades at Sharpe Bros (Australia), one of the nation’s leading road companies. From 2004 - 2014, he served as Managing Director of the family business. Michael has been involved with a range of industry including infrastructure, health & medical research and manufacturing.
Senator the Hon Mathias Cormann
Senator the Hon Mathias Cormann has served as the Minister for Finance since September 2013, having represented the State of Western Australia in the Senate since June 2007. Minister Cormann also holds the responsibilities of Special Minister of State, a role he has previously served in on a number of occasions between 2015 and 2018.

Minister Cormann was appointed Leader of the Government in the Senate on 20 December 2017, having previously served as the Deputy Leader in the Senate since 20 September 2015.
Nathan vom Bruch – Senior Manager – Corporate Finance, RSM Australia
Nathan is a Senior Manager in the Corporate Finance team and has over 11 years’ experience, including 8 years in Corporate Finance. He has experience across a range of industries and transaction structures and is also a CAANZ registered Business Valuation Specialist. At RSM, Nathan specialises in providing M&A, capital raising and due diligence services.
Garry Beard – Chairman/Director/Shareholder, AH Beard (Holdings) Pty Ltd
Garry is Chairman and Managing Director of AH Beard and has been involved in the business for over 40 years. Over this time, Garry has seen this family owned business grow from $3 million turnover, employing 32 people in one factory at Sans Souci, New South Wales, Australia, to now $140 million turnover, employing over 430 people across 7 factories in Australia and New Zealand, producing up to 10,000 mattresses each week. AH Beard also export to China, South Korea, Thailand and Papua New Guinea. Five generations of the AH Beard family have been committed to continuous innovation to ensure they remain leaders in their field.

Peter Revelas – Principal – Business Advisory Services, RSM Australia
Peter Revelas is an experienced accountant who understands the complexity of business operations, which allows him to provide valuable and practical advice to clients, as a Principal in the Business Advisory division of RSM in Sydney. Peter’s expertise spans across many areas of business advisory, including the commercial application of technical tax and accounting skills to suit the needs of clients. Peter services all types of clients including family groups, SMEs and corporate clients (listed, unlisted and foreign), which vary across sectors such as technology, building and construction, manufacturing, professional services, health and aged care, among others.
Katie Timms – National Director – Superannuation & SMSF Services
Katie specialises in superannuation and has significant experience in all areas of SMSFs, including administration and compliance, asset acquisition, tax-saving strategies, structural assistance, and estate planning. A regular day for Katie ranges from helping farmers transfer property out of super to the next generation, to advising company directors on how their SMSF interacts with their employee share scheme. Katie provides advice and assistance to trustees, accountants, and financial advisers. She also heads up the national RSM Superannuation committee.

Craig Lefoe - CEO and Founder, Toustone
Craig is founder and CEO of Toustone, a cloud-based Business Intelligence company. Toustone is obsessed with data and believes every company should be a data-driven company. Before starting Toustone, Craig worked for 17 years at the global FMCG giant Mars.
Craig’s roles included Asia Pac CTO and CIO for Mars Petcare Asia Pacific.
